In the subterrenean railway link of Piazza della Repubblica Raumplan produced an interpretation of the concept of conditional design. The installation is made up by its own process of development under certain conditions. Users operate on a interactive canvas through their smartphones. They access the software using a local wireless network that allows more devices interacting simultaneously. The coordinates that trace the space of the canvas are connected and matched with the coordinates of every device’s screen. The movement of the digital paint brush generates different audiovisual configurations depending on which coordinates it reaches.
This setting involves three elements: process, logic and input. The interaction between a given logic (the software) and input (an external agent) activates the process. The result of every single experience will be projected on a side wall, composing a pacthwork that is supposed to focus on the diversity of the outcomes in a given set of rules.
